She holds the prestigious Certified Sexuality Educator designation from the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT). She is nationally recognized in her field as a leading thinker, trainer, speaker and curriculum developer. Prior to and concurrent with her transition into sexuality education, Melanie garnered 25 years of experience as a marketing communications consultant and copywriting generalist. Her journalistic experience includes local newspapers and regional magazines, nationally syndicated feature stories, blogging and Tweeting.
